Message	Claybar. Compounds are not a replacement largely because you will end up inadvertently rubbing any "sharp" contaminants all over the surface, and therefore causing more scratches/swirls in the process. Compounds should be reserved for removal of scratches *after* using a claybar to remove contaminants.
